Michael Radonski, LCSW
Hi there. And thanks for your interest in working with me.
Please let me introduce myself. I’m Mike. As a retired US Navy veteran and the CEO of At Ease Counseling, my life’s work has been dedicated to guiding individuals through their most challenging transitions and battles. Prior to founding my current practice, I spent the formative years of my clinical career at the Vet Center. During my tenure there, I had the privilege of serving firsthand as both a dedicated trauma therapist and as the Center's Director. This dual experience as an executive administrator and a frontline clinical leader deeply shapes my mission today. I understand the complexities of systemic stress and operational burnout, and I bring that insight into my practice to provide high-caliber, specialized care that helps people truly reclaim their peace.
My academic foundation includes a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland University College. Throughout my years of post-graduate clinical practice, I have focused heavily on advanced trauma modalities. I hold formal clinical training in EMDR, DBT, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This diverse clinical toolkit allows me to effectively treat complex PTSD, military and civilian sexual trauma, severe anxiety, chronic depression, substance use and abuse, and deep-seated anger management issues. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I actively tailor these evidence-based frameworks to match your specific history and goals.
In addition to my specialized trauma focus, I am a father who deeply understands the everyday trials and joys of family dynamics. This personal perspective enriches my clinical work with couples and families. I regularly utilize Gottman Method techniques to help partners repair communication fractures, heal from infidelity, and fortify their foundational emotional bond. For families transitioning through separation or divorce, I provide structured guidance to help parents establish healthy, supportive, and highly effective co-parenting environments after a relationship has ended.
Clients and colleagues frequently describe my therapeutic approach as genuinely warm, interactive, and deeply empathetic. I aim to create a non-judgmental environment where you feel entirely safe to explore difficult truths, while also actively engaging with you to build practical coping strategies. At At Ease Counseling, we believe that sustainable healing requires an authentic, collaborative partnership. Let’s work together to build a clear, resilient path forward.
